Mark McClurgDirector of Ralco Show and Show Pig Specialist
Mark was raised in Claremore, Oklahoma. Even though he grew up around livestock and his dad showed pigs in 4-H as a young man, all Mark could dream about from an early age was being Merle Haggard, Bob Wills and George Jones. His younger years were spent focused on music. In 1990 a new comer to the country music scene, Alan Jackson hired Mark at the age 19 to play his fiddle and sing background vocals in his touring band the Strayhorns. When Mark’s own kids got involved in 4-H he found a new passion, show pigs. That new passion led to purchasing a small supplement company, Platinum plus Feed Supplements and re-establishing old friendships such as Bobby Listen in the show pig industry. Mark and Bob started working together to build a new line of products, The Bobby Listen line of supplements. In 2011 Mark was approached by a representative of Ralco to explore the possibilities of Platinum and Ralco working together in the show pig industry. During this time Mark learned about the proprietary technologies Ralco had developed and believed they could make a positive impact in the show world. After discussing the opportunity and possibilities with Big Bob a diet was formulated, premixes were brought to Oklahoma and Krave was born and the Ralco Show division soon followed. In 2012 Mark retired after 22 years on the road in the music business to accept a full time job with Ralco Show. Four years later and Mark is now the Director of Ralco Show.
